William J. Akin

Bill Akin is the principal and dynamic force behind Akin & Associates. During his eighteen years of recruiting technical and management personnel, Bill has proven his savvy and leadership in finding the right people for the right job. Clients trust Bill and his Associates with their in-depth knowledge of the technology sector. Akin & Associates has their ears to the ground, constantly monitoring trends--staying informed--watching for top talents.

Before forming Akin & Associates in 1988, Bill was the owner of Search Professionals which grew to a staff of twenty-five, including thirteen software developers. Earlier he was Employment Manager at Cipher Data, Division Employment Supervisor at 3M, and Personnel Supervisor for Deutsche Electronic Components. He has extensive first hand experience with all aspects of the recruiting, compensation, benefits and the training process.

Bill has received a BS from California Polytechnic and a BS (Business Administration) from the University of Redlands, Whitehead College. He is married with one daughter and lives in Carlsbad, California.
