Cathy Bucher Akin

Cathy's career spans 25+ years in a variety of industries including manufacturing, software and telecommunications for such companies as ViaSat, Honeywell, General Electric, Orincon, Spectragraphics, Uniden, and Epicor Software Corporation.

Cathy holds a B.S. degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources Management from San Diego State University and has received several award nominations such as the U.C.S.D. Athena Pinnacle Award (three times) and was granted the 1999 San Diego Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business Award in the Human Resources category.

Cathy has served on the boards of several professional organizations including SHRM's High Tech Net National Board. Ms Akin currently serves on the Executive Committee of the San Diego Science Alliance, an organization dedicated to enhancing science education for students in grades K-12.
